The character of Les Gravats du Bost has been designed to reflect the remarkable area in which the property is situated : spacious, peaceful, beautifully high-quality but relaxed and family-friendly.

 

The property conversion has been done to an exceptionally high standard, preserving and enhancing the traditional timber and stone work, whilst finishing and equipping it with high-specification and modern materials. The use of simple, large oak-framed glazing and doors and the beautiful natural light allows the original open space of the barn to lend itself to contemporary, relaxed living.

 

Great care and attention has been taken to equip the house with beautiful furnishings : linen bedlinen and high-quality cotton towels as well as the comfortable beds and furniture are intended to complement the beautifully restored building. Swimming towels are also provided, in order to lessen the bulk demanded by the packing process for large groups on holiday! We do ask, however, that bath and swimming towels are kept and used completely separately. Equipment for smaller children is available on request (cot, baby bath, steps, high chairs, stair gates etc).

 

The thick stone walls of the property, as well as the shutters if required, keep the house cool in the heat (fans are also provided in the bedrooms) and the tiled floors throughout and large airy spaces make it an ideal environment in which to enjoy your summer holiday.

 

A large woodburner, underfloor heating and solar panels ensure a snug and beautiful base for Christmas or Winter retreats.

 

A welcome pack is provided and includes, whenever possible, seasonal fresh vegetables, fruit, and local produce.
