Venues and Attractions

There are many wonderful attractions, sometimes a little further afield, which make a memorable day out, for adults and children alike - at all times of year and in all seasons. You can try your hand at new activities - French cookery, mosaic, chocolate making - or, spend a day in totally different surroundings - at the amazing Aquarium in La Rochelle, at Royan Zoo or with monkeys of all shapes and sizes at La Vallée des Singes at Romagne. You can unwind in an energetic fashion - solving riddles in the grounds of Le Chateau des Énigmes at Pons, through paintball or quad biking at the Chateau de la Gataudière, Marennes, scaling the heights amongst the treetops of the Adventure Parc Lacs de Haute Charente at Massignac, or perhaps spending the day in the water, in all its forms, at either Les Antilles Indoor Water Park at Jonzac or Natuilus in Angouleme. You could just simply be astonished by Futuroscope at Poitiers, the Musée de la Bande Dessinée (Comic Strip Museum) in Angouleme or the quirky Musée des Automates at La Rochelle.
